NM: President Joe Biden Visits New Mexico To Receive Wildfire Update
U.S. Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM) awaits the arrival of U.S. President Joe Biden at Kirtland Air Force Base on June 11, 2022 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Biden is making his first Presidential visit to New Mexico to meet with Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham (D-NM), state and local officials, first responders and response and recovery personnel from FEMA and other agencies to receive a briefing on the New Mexico wildfires at the New Mexico State Emergency Operation Center. The Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon Fire and the Black Fire are the largest and second largest wildfires in state history having burned over 319,841and 298,400 acres respectively.
